Return Eligibility

We gladly accept return requests within 10 business days of:

• Confirmed delivery for shipped orders

• The date of pickup for in-store collections

To initiate a return, please contact our showroom within this timeframe so we can provide return instructions and an insured shipping label.

Return shipments should be sent within 2–3 business days after the return label is issued.

Return Condition Requirements

To ensure the integrity of our collection, returned items must be received in the same condition in which they were sold.

All returned jewelry will be carefully inspected upon arrival. Items must:

• Show no signs of wear or alteration

• Be returned with all original packaging and documentation

• Include any accompanying materials provided at the time of purchase

If a returned item shows signs of wear or damage beyond its original condition, Nicolaas Alexander reserves the right to issue a reduced refund when permitted by applicable law, based on the condition of the piece.

Ring Resizing

For rings purchased from Nicolaas Alexander, we are pleased to offer one complimentary resizing, when appropriate for the ring’s design.

Rings that have been resized may remain eligible for return on a case-by-case basis, depending on the extent of the resizing and the condition of the piece.

If you are considering a resize and may also be uncertain about fit or style, we encourage discussing options with our showroom team prior to proceeding.

Insured Return Shipping

For the security of your jewelry, Nicolaas Alexander will provide a prepaid insured return shipping label.

All return shipments must be sent using the provided label so that the package remains fully insured during transit.

For your protection, we recommend packaging the item carefully using the materials provided with your original shipment whenever possible.

Refund Processing

Once your return has been received and inspected, your refund will be issued to the original form of payment.

Refunds are typically processed within 5–7 business days after the returned item has been reviewed and approved. Please note that financial institutions may require additional time to post the refund to your account.

Approved returns are subject to a 10% restocking fee, which helps offset the care and handling required to prepare each piece. This amount will be deducted from the final refund.

Damage During Transit

If your item arrives with damage that occurred during transit, please notify us within one business day of delivery and provide clear photographs of the packaging and the item.

Prompt notification allows us to initiate a carrier and insurance review as quickly as possible.

Protection Against Fraudulent Returns

Each piece sold by Nicolaas Alexander is documented through photography and video at the time of inspection and again during packaging prior to shipment.

These measures help protect both our clients and our business from fraudulent return activity. Nicolaas Alexander reserves the right to decline returns that do not meet the conditions outlined in this policy.

A Note About Estate Jewelry

Many of our pieces are estate or vintage and may carry the character of age and craftsmanship. Each item is professionally inspected prior to sale, and any necessary service is completed before the piece is offered to clients.
